TOOL MECHANIC (M/F/D) - Fixture technology field of application

Delve deeper into the world of tools and work on fixtures for testing and assembly, as well as manufacturing and forming tools for industrial series production. Here it is important to adhere precisely to the specified dimensions according to technical drawings, especially when machining the metal by drilling, milling, turning or grinding. You then use measuring and testing equipment to check the results of your work down to 1/100th of a millimeter. You will mainly use modern CNC-controlled machine tools, which you will also program yourself.

Qualification: successfully completed vocational school leaving certificate or intermediate school leaving certificate

The cornerstones of this apprenticeship are technical understanding, good knowledge of mathematics and physics, abstract thinking skills
and ideally English language skills. The ability to work in a team, motivation, flexibility and willingness to learn underline your personality.

Your opportunities

Optional career goals are the examination to become an industrial foreman (m/f/d) in the field of metal or a technician (m/f/d) in the fields of mechanical engineering, production equipment or toolmaking. You can also start studying at a university with a university entrance qualification.
