Johann Hay founds a company called HAY by establishing a small forge workshop in Bockenau.

1951

Investments for the first turning and hobbing machines are made.

1958

SOP (Start of Production) of the first ring rolling unit, which enables the production of ring-form components.

1965

Foundation of the sister plant in Bad Sobernheim and therefore expansion of the vertical manufacturing depth through the integration of work steps such as turning, milling and heat treatment.

2000-2015 Expansion

2000

In parallel to the development of the HAY company, the Japanese automotive supplier Musashi Seimitsu Industry Co., Ltd. founded the Musashi Hungary Machining [MHM] plant in Ercsi (Hungary) as its first European location.

Expansion of the production area at the MHM plant by almost 3000 square meters.

2007

The Swedish rolling bearing company SKF established the forging facility in Lüchow in 1971, which was acquired by the HAY Group in 2007. HAY Speed Umformtechnik GmbH supports internal forging processes and implements advanced techniques such as Hatebur forging, vertical forging, ring rolling, heat treatment of low-alloy steels and shot blasting for descaling the forged components.

2010

Lüchow invests in one of the largest horizontal forging machines.

In 2013, the "Metallumform Präzisionswerkstücke Group", founded as a family business in Hannoversch Münden in 1971, was also acquired.

2014

Increase of the machining capacities as a result of the acquisition of Metaco Union Kft. in Hungary. Similarly, the HAY Group acquires the Spanish plant Forjanor S.L-Fabrica de Villalba as part of its expansion. In the same year, the Chinese plant in Tianjin, China, was completed and started their operations.
