The name of the small town with 7,000 inhabitants is Füzesabony. The area was already inhabited in prehistoric times, evidence of which is preserved today in the Hungarian National Museum. It only takes a glance at a map to recognize the very favourable geographical location of Füzesabony. It is located at the crossroads of trade routes on the northern edge of the Great Plain, which enables an enormous movement of goods by rail and road to all parts of the world. Within a radius of 50 km, the towns of the county can be reached from here - the provincial capital of Eger, which plays a central role in every respect, Lake Tisza, which has increasingly developed into a water paradise in recent years, and the Hortobágy National Park, the “desert museum of the wilderness”. For mountain lovers, Bükk and Mátra with its unique flora and fauna promises pleasant recovery and with a well-developed service network also offers many opportunities for those who want to relax and have fun.
